Biofeedback
We all want to breathe easily and feel clear and aware of what’s going on around us. We want to enjoy what we do. Only when we have difficulty completing tasks and getting to the end of our "to do" lists do we become aware of STRESS. Often major illness, restricted movement or debilitating health problems come upon us before we notice and attend to our stress. It's the one precursor that seems to appear in every disease category or diagnostic label. While it can be a positive motivator and part of the balancing of mind-body-spirit, befriending stress is a challenge.
Biofeedback helps us identifies stress throughout our system. Biofeedback is an exciting technique to gain awareness about ourselves, using instrumentation which has now been computerized. It helps us recognize needs and make changes to our world.
Biofeedback is a significant channel for communicating with self to bring us back to health. We all realize how stress suppresses bodily functions and can reach levels that cause problems quietly, until major diseases surface. Biofeedback is a vehicle to 'tune up your body' as you get in touch with your inner being and needs.
Use biofeedback to reduce stress and begin communicating with your mind and body. Encourage behavior changes for specific goals: Weight loss, energy gains, nutritional goals, restful sleep, and balance for your success. Stress is not logical, but demands our attention wherever it lodges. Combining biofeedback and imagery allows us to de-stress and set our clear focused plan of action.
